Today is World Pinhole Day. A coming together of Photographers from all over the world who are creating lens-less beautiful images. And these are my handful of images who made my shortlist. I picked the image below as my entry.
It is not a competition just a sharing and partaking in the art of Pinhole Photography. No who is the biggest, who is the best, nobody wins and nobody loses. And it’s so much the better for it.
To me it represents freedom and a search for change by going back in time and using that experience to try and make this world a better, simpler and more harmonious place.
The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It has to happen inside first.
Give it a go.
Lens-less world = Beautiful World.
Memory is the seamstress, and a capricious one at that. Memory runs her needle in and out, up and down, hither and thither. We know not what comes next, or what follows after. Thus, the most ordinary movement in the world, such as sitting down at a table may agitate a thousand odd, disconnected fragments, now bright, now dim, hanging and bobbing and dipping and flaunting, like a raindrop in a gale of wind.
Though you may disappear
You’re not forgotten here
And I will say to you
I will do what I can do
The America and Britain that Trump voters and Brexit supporters yearn for is dead, gone. It will never return. It is accessible now in memory and imagination. Still real on those levels. What it is replaced by – a global culture – is not going away. Attempts to turn back time and tide, – like Trump, May, le Pen – will result in disaster and a more painful journey forward. What we need – and have – is a great big MELTING POT. Start liking it.
Life as a Suit – Cubicle Hell
Garbage to sell – lies to tell
I feel for you
We need to peel back
the layers of false reality
Be thankful for our gifts
share knowledge with others
Take our creativity
to a spiritual plane
on creativity’s wings.
Your path in life, well that is always for you to choose.
And you can’t catch a Boat to Bolivia
The way people move is their autobiography in motion.
A picture in a book
I can’t believe I got here
But how long it took
Living one step at a time
Putting one foot in front of the other
It sure feels right
I am walking, like I do….
I am talking, like I do to myself.
